Order of the Ace♠️🍸 is a charming speakeasy hiding in plain sight in Baltimore just a few steps away from the waterfront Marriott. It’s giving Boardwalk Empire vibes via the art, the ambience, the music and of course the drinks! Our waitress was lovely offering to have the mixologist craft a custom cocktail for us. I opted for something tropical and elegant that featured St. Germain liquor; what I received was a handcrafted martini filled with refreshing flavor. If you’re in Baltimore and are looking for a hidden gem to grab a nice cocktail, and enjoy some live jazz, add Order of the Ace to your list. The only thing missing was a secret password for entry.

✨ Five Stars – A Hidden Gem in Baltimore! ✨ From the moment I walked into Order of the Ace, I was completely captivated by the ambiance. The vibes were immaculate — a perfect mix of laid-back luxury and high-end taste. The live jazz set the tone for the night, and the art deco decor transported me to another era. But the real star of the evening? Mark. His deep knowledge of Japanese whiskey blew me away. Not only did he take the time to walk me through the nuances of each pour, but he also generously offered extra tastes of some rare selections. His passion and expertise honestly made me miss Tokyo — and now I know exactly what to seek out when I return. Whether you’re a cocktail connoisseur or just looking for a memorable night out, Order of the Ace is a must. I’ll definitely be back — and I’ll be asking for Mark!

Honestly I have been here three times and every time Selena has been my waitress. She is an absolute delight. She has incredible recommendations and she is just fun and funny and attentive and we cannot say enough good things about her. Nikolai is also a favorite but Selena is the draw

Popped into Order of the Ace on a random rainy Tuesday evening. At first I was a bit intimidated, as I was a little underdressed. There wasn’t a host at the host stand, so I waited in the entry for several minutes, but finally stuck my head into the bar area and was warmly greeted by the bar manager, Mark. I had my choice of tables and was quickly enchanted by the wax sealed menus. I don’t have the most advanced knowledge of mixed drinks, but Mark walked me through the menu. What really blew me away was the ambiance and the Tuesday evening live jazz performance from Sara Jones. I would come back every week just to hear her play!

Incredible hidden gem of a bar. Cocktails were balanced, unique, and incredibly tasty. Knowledgeable bar staff and warm service. Absolutely one of the best bars in Baltimore!

This is an amazing gem. I started visiting it weekly back in December. The staff is endearing and the drinks are amazing. The live jazz in this secret society themed bar is the topper on the cake. From the genius of Matt’s training of the bartenders to the meticulous oversight of Jerome & Moody, the staff have made a truly compelling sanctuary that invites you to enjoy a refined evening of drinks, music, and conversation. I highly recommend this place and look forward to the upcoming special events. I hope to see you there.

Loved this spot. Came for a date night. The atmosphere was great. Drinks were unique and tasty. The server was able to recommend some favorites so that was helpful. The music was relaxing which added to the peaceful vibe. We didnt try any of the food but they have a few options. I'd definitely recommend going here if you havent. We'll be back!

Our first time at Order of the Ace and it was fantastic. Ordered some apps and dessert with cocktails and it was beyond d delicious! Make sure to make a reservation as it is not a place that will be easy to walk in to and not have a wait. The service was amazing, the host was lovely, the server was fun and enjoyable, the cocktail manager was knowledgeable and very accommodating! Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we had a good night! 100% recommend!

If you want great food, great service, and a great atmosphere, Order of The Ace is where you want to go. The cocktails were superb, the appetizers were great, the main course was perfect. Do not skip the dessert menu. I almost did and would have missed the lemon meringue cheesecake. It was absolutely delicious. We will be back for sure. The live jazz was the cherry on top.

This was a true five-star experience, from beginning to end. (In fact, I’m writing this from the table right now.) We tried walking into the bar at the Ruxton but, since it’s Valentine’s Day, it was fully slammed, with a line out the door. We popped our heads into Order of the Ace, & the host, Edyta, told us they were fully booked, but that if we wanted to stick around for a few minutes, we might be able to sneak in. There was a live jazz band, so we were happy to stand & wait, & within about five minutes, a table had cleared out, so Edyta was able to get us seated. We’d’ve been happy sitting at the bar, but the table was perfect, with a view of the chandelier & the jazz band, led by singer Emily Perkins. Kenisha was our server, & despite a busy evening, she was helpful & kind, & Mark, the cocktail & bar manager, was exceptional. I ordered the Recurrence Eternal—much like a French 75–& then the Arcanum off of the Reserve cocktail menu, which is one of the most intriguing & compelling cocktails I’ve ever had. Notes of carrots & pinecones? Insane. Mark even brought the bottles that are used over to the table for me to take a look at, which felt above & beyond. We also got small appetizers & desserts, which were lovely, & between the unique cocktails, the ambiance, the jazz music, & the stellar service, this was an incredible Valentine’s Day evening. (It could only be topped if Order of the Ace got their own matchbooks! Burgundy with the logo in gold foil would be just divine!)
